How to plant
Asparagus SEEDS F1
1. Prepare the soil for planting:
Asparagus will grow and develop well when planted with loose soil rich in humus. However, you can also take advantage of light soil mixed with organic fertilizers, straw or chopped straw mixed in the soil to grow asparagus.
2. Correct seed handling:
Asparagus seeds need to be thoroughly soaked before sowing. You need to soak the seeds in warm water according to the ratio of 2 boiling 3 cold for about 1 day.
– When you have soaked the seeds for enough time, wash the seeds one last time under clean running water, let the seeds drain and then incubate the seeds in a warm towel for about 1 day.
3. Sowing the seeds:
– You sow the seeds in a prepared soil pot with a depth of about 1 – 2.5cm. Then water thoroughly to provide the necessary moisture for the plant to germinate quickly.
– You should put the asparagus pot in a sunny place
4. Caring and fertilizing:
Growing asparagus in a pot requires a relatively small amount of soil, so you must pay attention to fertilizing the plant regularly. The fertilizer supply cycle for asparagus plants is usually 10 to 15 days. The types of fertilizers commonly used to fertilize asparagus are: decomposed fertilizers, phosphate fertilizers, NPK fertilizers.
5. Harvest asparagus:
Asparagus plants are planted, cared for and fertilized according to processes and techniques, and will be harvested after about 5-6 months from the date of planting. When observing the shoots that have protruded from the ground about 20-30cm, proceed to harvest the bamboo shoots.
